"I think Pilli has intercepted something mysteriously present at this moment in history, forcing us to deal with time and our illusions. Mental recomposition of the image, alternation of naturalism and abstract motifs, harmonious sweetness of color, intensity of feeling, a thought that runs far away, certainly original master, leader of the school in its evolution, with a thousand insights, great technical ability and a deep intimate expressive value."

“Angelo Pilli began since 1968 to put his rebellion on canvas. Initially a surrealist, he then switched to figurative and later the form became geometric, with figures charged with poetry and light. His new language is made of soft, harmonious, sensual colors and spaces in a fantastic and enveloping world. His canvases engage the viewer within its soft, enveloping forms.”
